K8ssandra Medusa is an Apache Cassandra backup and restore tool designed for cloud-native environments. It provides
reliable backup, restore, and verification capabilities for Cassandra clusters running in Kubernetes, with support for
S3, GCS, Azure, and S3-compatible object stores. Medusa is part of the K8ssandra project: it is normally deployed as a
sidecar alongside Cassandra pods by the k8ssandra-operator, and backup or restore operations are driven through
MedusaBackupJob, MedusaBackupSchedule, and MedusaRestoreJob custom resources rather than by invoking the CLI
directly.
