Usage
start docker dind server
docker run --privileged --name shared-docker -d docker:1.12-dind
create an empty ssh volume
$ docker create -v /root/.ssh --name ssh-container danielguerra/ssh-container /bin/true
create your own keys on your own machine
$ docker run --volumes-from ssh-container danielguerra/docker-sshd ssh-keygen -t rsa -f /root/.ssh/id_rsa
add your pub key to authorized_keys file
$ docker run --volumes-from ssh-container danielguerra/docker-sshd /bin/cp /root/.ssh/id_rsa.pub /root/.ssh/authorized_keys
create a copy in your directory (pwd)
$ docker run --volumes-from ssh-container -v $(pwd):/backup danielguerra/docker-sshd /bin/cp -R /root/.ssh /backup
start docker ssh front
$ docker run -d -p 2222:22 --name ssh-docker --volumes-from ssh-container -e DOCKER_IP="172.17.0.1" -e DOCKER_PORT="2375" danielguerra/docker-sshd
ssh to your new docker environment
$ ssh -i ./id_rsa -p 2222 root@dockerhost
Routing to containers started in ssh-docker
In order to forward or connect to the started containers in ssh-docker you need to add a route to the shared-docker of the main docker host to the shared-dockerhost. In ssh-docker
docker inspect my-container-name
Check the container-ip
In the main docker , in which the shared and ssh docker is running do
$ route add -net container-ip-net netmask 255.255.255.0 gw shared-docker-ip
Now you can use port forwards in your ssh command to get the service local
$ ssh -i ./id_rsa -p 2222 -L 8080:container-ip:container-port root@dockerhost
After this you can connect to localhost port 8080 to get to the service inside your docker-ssh.
