⁠Overview

This Docker image provides a way to run HTML, CSS, JS linters and Grunt via NPM's csslint⁠, sass-lint⁠, htmlhint⁠, eslint⁠ and grunt-cli⁠ inside of a Docker container. If you're looking for a way to lint your Web resources, this is the project you've been looking for!

⁠htmlhint

HTMLHint is a Static Code Analysis Tool for HTML, you can use it with IDE or in build system.

⁠csslint

CSSLint is an open source CSS code quality tool. A lint tool performs static analysis of source code and flags patterns that might be errors or otherwise cause problems for the developer.

⁠eslint

ESLint is a tool for identifying and reporting on patterns found in ECMAScript/JavaScript code. In many ways, it is similar to JSLint and JSHint with a few exceptions.

⁠sass-lint

A Node-only Sass linter for both sass and scss syntax!

⁠grunt-cli

The JavaScript Task Runner. In one word: automation.

⁠Use cases include:

Run continuously static quality checks via the listed linters powered by CI server jobs.

⁠Methodology

The key to this project is to get the linters and grunt to work inside of a nodejs container. TDD is utilized via dockerlint⁠ and serverspec⁠.

⁠The wrapper script does the following things:

Adds htmllint-cli,sass-lint, csslint and eslint, so you can lint your web resources.
