At the time of writing (version 10.3.1.1) Apama Core Community Edition has no formal support for Alpine Linux on amd64 so the smallest official glibc base image appears to be Debian:stretch-slim at 22MB.
This is an experimental attempt to see how small I could make an image that will run a correlator with native plugins. This image has removed all trace of Python or Java - so no JMS, no Java Connectivity-plugins, no Java EPL-plugins.

The simplest possible execution of a container based on this image would be to run a correlator that simply printed its version: docker run --rm kpalf/apamacore-min:10.3.1.1_experimental-debian-slim_amd64 correlator --version

Must repeat that this is EXPERIMENTAL and not something the product team have tried.
