⁠About

Zephyrd release binaries are unaltered from the corresponding official version at: https://github.com/ZephyrProtocol/Zephyr⁠.

⁠Quickstart:

⁠Make sure your system is up to date first (this example is for Ubuntu)

sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade -y

Reboot now if you're told to after the updates have been installed.

⁠Install and enable Docker daemon

sudo apt install docker.io
sudo systemctl enable docker

⁠Create datadir and set correct permissions

sudo mkdir -p /var/zephyrd && sudo chown 61444 -R /var/zephyrd

⁠Start or update Zephyrd container

sudo docker rm -f zephyrd
sudo docker run --pull always -d --restart unless-stopped \
  -v /var/zephyrd/:/app/.zephyr/ -p 17766:17766 -p 17767:17767 \
  --name zephyrd supertypo/zephyrd:latest

⁠Make your node public (optional)

Please consider making your node public.
If your host is running on a private network behind an uPNP-capable router you can easily open the consensus-port using the following command:

sudo docker run --rm --network=host alpine sh -c 'apk add miniupnpc; upnpc -r 17766 tcp' | grep 17766

⁠Tail logs:

sudo docker logs -n 1000 -f zephyrd

⁠Clear database and resync (if needed)

sudo docker stop zephyrd
sudo rm -r /var/zephyrd/*
sudo docker start zephyrd

⁠Wallet:

The cli-wallet is also available in the container image, to access it simply execute it in the running zephyrd container.

docker exec -it zephyrd zephyr-wallet-cli
